An ancient Monterey Cypress tree grows on the rocky coast of Carmel, California, its branches sculpted by the strong winds of the Pacific.

To make the image, I created a relief sculpture in white clay, photographed it, then added color and other detail digitally. The finished piece is screen printed by hand in 4 ink colors: yellow, florescent pink, mint, and blue. Due to the screen print process, each print is slightly different.

The item ships in a poly sleeve, rolled in a 3-inch diameter tube. To flatten the print, unroll it but keep it in the poly sleeve. Place it on a clean, flat surface and put a few books on top for about a day.
